Pro-Life or Pro-Choice?
Do we hear the dying screams of millions of babies murdered, crying out for deliverance in the darkest parts of the night? Can we not hear them calling to us? Do we not see the blood on our hands that cannot be washed away so easily, as Pontius Pilate believed?
In America, where liberty is supposed to be dominant, where life is supposedly upheld, we are beholding an immense tragedy. Ever since the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Roe v. Wade, more than forty million babies have been slaughtered since 1973.
But wait a minute. The Supreme Court passed the law allowing abortion, making it a "law of the land" in all fifty states? I'm confused. I thought only Congress has the power to write laws, as the Constitution defines. Neither the President nor the Supreme Court can, only Congress. Has the United States Supreme Court overstepped its boundaries? Have they actually said in a subtle way that the Constitution is "null and void"?
James Madison, "father of the Constitution," said himself that the powers granted to the federal government were "few and defined." On the other hand, "numerous and undefined" were the powers given to the states. Therefore, in correct terms, the ruling in Roe v. Wade has no legal bearing. We are not constitutionally bound to honor that law. Aren't you relieved? The Supreme Court had no business sticking its hand into something that isn't any of their business. The Constitution gives the federal government seventeen expressed powers. Why then do they take thousands of matters into their hands if it isn't even constitutionally allowed? Haven't they sworn to "uphold the Constitution"? What liars! I'd like to tell them so right in their faces.
Isn't the Constitution the "law of the land" (under God's law)? If so, we don't recognize abortion as "tolerant." As a matter of fact, murder of the innocent should be banned and prohibited. No one has the right to murder an innocent baby in the womb who is totally defenseless and powerless. Life is being taken from them, cruelly and inhumanely.
So-called "environmentalists" are terribly worried about the trees, fish, birds, and "endangered species" these days that they'll do anything to protect those life forms. What about living, breathing human beings? Do they just get torn up and thrown into the trashcan? Exactly. Who cares about unborn babies (who aren't even wanted) while the trees are constantly being killed! The trees! Protect the trees! Protect the fish and birds! Protect the whatchamacallits! Their lives are endangered! Help us save them!
Don't they have a heart?
When I was ten or eleven, I was helping my dad clean out some files at my grandpa's church in Indiana. Throughout many years, my dad has been involved in numerous activities, including abortion rallies. Therefore he had accumulated countless newspapers, tracks, bulletins, etc. that needed organized. Helping him that day, I stumbled across several abortion tracks which came to be highly significant in my young life. What a dreaded cry wrung my heart! There was a picture of the tiniest baby imaginable to my eyes, torn apart limb by limb, dirtied and bloodied, and completely lifeless. Stunned and confused, I remember remaining motionless as I gazed at that picture, struck with horror. Trembling, I slowly rose and showed my daddy. Compassionately and tenderly he cradled me in his arms. He never had any intention of me seeing that. No tears would come to my eyes, but inside I was sobbing bitterly. How I wanted the tears to fall, but they never would. I've cried many nights upon that remembrance. Oh the horror and cruelty! Never in my life had I seen anything so pitifully destructive. I had always known that abortion was "killing babies," but that picture brought alive the true reality I had never faced.
We were (and still are) killing babies, thousands upon millions of babies, right here in America.
A godly, righteous, and civilized nation? Different from heathen and barbarous nations?
We as Christians are just as responsible as the mothers and doctors making that choice.
Life is precious. People shouldn't have the choice to commit murder. The company of people standing for a "choice" don't seem to understand is that abortion really is a horrible slaughter. Killing defenseless babies? A choice?
The Constitution itself says that life is a God-given right. No one, especially the federal government, has the right to take our God-given rights away.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." ~The Declaration of Independence.
That includes the unborn.
I stand proudly as pro-life. Do you believe in a choice, or an unalienable, God-given right?
"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is His reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate." ~Psalm 127:3-5
