What Does the World see When it Looks at Me?

What do you see when you look at me?
Am I a flower in beauty that you see?

What does the world see when it looks at me?
If they accept me should I laugh in glee?

If I wear the right clothes will they nod and smile?
If I say the right words will they go with me a mile?

I wear my makeup perfect; I insert rebelliousness into my life
But if I succumb to the world's evil will I be following the piper's fife?

When they see my Bible will they laugh and scoff?
Will I lose this glamor that now rides off?

A choice before me lingers near
Will I choose Christ or lose what’s dear?

No matter what this world may see
Christ is the sacrifice that paid my fee

Because He has shown what true love implies
I'll give Him my life and destroy the lies

I do not care what the world may think
I rise above the waves because I no longer sink

I'll be happy, I will sing,
I will praise God as my King

A couple friends and I are starting up a new website/blog for set-apart sisters to connect and share. We'd love you to be a part of it! We are also looking for guest bloggers. Blessings, Hannah Rose
