A day to always be remebered...

On August the 21st, 2009, at 8:47, something extraordinary happened. Liberty Joanne Brown was born, after waiting 9 months and 8 days to come out! Isn't God good? All we have to do is be patient, and wait on Him. He will make His will and plans come to pass in His time, not ours.

When Liberty was born she was 10 lbs 2 ozs, and 20 and a half in. long. A big baby! She has been the biggest in our family so far. She is the most adorable little thing too! The chubbiest cheeks, the bluest eyes, and the sweetest little dimple in her cheek. She could capture any ones heart, and that is what she has done to all of us, her family. She will never lack for attention. Already we have taken lots & lots of pics! Here are some of them...

As sweet as can be!

Government schools are a mess!

How many kids' lives have been ruined because of the school system? A lot more than you can count. The reason: Because the government has its hands in the educational system. But you know what? They have no right whatsoever. Did you hear me? NONE WHATSOEVER! People pay hundreds of dollars in taxes to the government, the government then uses billions of that money to pay teachers in public schools, pay for buildings, repairs, etc. Then because they supply all the money, they also supply the literature, and everything that will go into the kids' heads. In other words, the government controls the kids. How scary is that? The kids are "brainwashed". However, the kids have no choice--but the parents do. Whatever they learn in school will shape them into whatever kind of men and women they will be.
Also, going to church for an hour a week will not "overrule" whatever they learn in school for 8 hours. No way, whatsoever can that ever happen.

Parents are needed to take a stand in today's world. We need people who will say "NO!" to the government, and "YES!" to God.

Right now, the government has control of the kids in America. They have them 5 days a week for about 8 hours a day. Talk about major control. Nevertheless, that could be changed, if we would take a stand. The government doesn't even have any business in the educational system! The States should individually decide what is right, leastways according to the Bible, what God has commanded, and that is to raise godly children "in the nurture and admonition of the LORD."

I am so thankful I have parents who have taken a stand, and therefore, my life, and the lives of my siblings, will not be ruined by the government in "their" schools, and "their" curriculum. (I could go into their "curriculum, but that is another subject.) I have been homeschooled all my life and I can truly say, "Homeschooled and PROUD OF IT!".

The kids in America are turning out to be wicked, rebellious "teenagers" and yet everybody wonders why. I can tell you the reason--it's because, instead of letting God control them, the government controls them and the kids' lives are shaped by people who have no business shaping them. We are in a mess. After God, the Bible, prayer, and the Ten Commandments were kicked out of schools, everything in the school system started declining...declining...until we are where we are today.

The schools only teach evolution. They don't even give the kids the "other side of the story." But really, there is only one Story, the true story of special creation and Jesus Christ's redemptive work on the cross. So they aren't even giving a true story, they are giving a lie! A big fat lie that has gone on since the beginning of time--that man is his "own god", God isn't in control, and man can do whatever he wants. People believe it to because man is "desperately wicked" and "righteous in his own eyes." Man doesn't want an Authority above him; he himself wants to be his own master. Oh what fools we human beings are! I can truly say that because as it says, "the fool hath said in his heart, there is no God." (Psalm 14:1)

We need to let God have full control. After all, He gave man a little bit of His power, though not all. Therefore, we need to stop letting Washington "bully" us around. They don't have full control, only God does. Let us unite and take a stand. A stand for what is right.

Homemade cookies!

Last night I made some chocolate oatmeal cookies. I love cooking, especially baking goodies! I've posted a picture as well, but they aren't hardly anything to boast about. The first two batches turned out to be a mess. They were all crumbly. So I added a little bit of flour to the others, then they turned out pretty well. They were good, even if I do say so myself! I enjoy doing little things like that. Baking goodies for the family, cooking the meals, etc. With Mom 9 months pregnant and 6 days over Grace and I have been doing a lot more of the cooking, and we are gaining more experience! We are really enjoying it!

"The Stolen Church" By Rev. R.J.Rushdoony

"The greatest robbery of our day is the stealing of the church. The church properly belongs to Jesus Christ. It exists in His name, and its purpose is to peach the Word of God, administer the sacraments, and faithfully apply godly discipline to Christ's members. But the church has been stolen. The thieves are the modernists, socialists, humanists, all of which adds up to one fact, anti-Christianity. Using the name of Christ, these sanctimonious thieves have crept into the church, gained control of it, captured the pulpit and the bank accounts and endowed funds, and they are using the church to advance their anti-Christian purposes. Instead of proclaiming Christ, the church is now preaching social revolution and financing it. First of all, then, the church has been stolen from Jesus Christ.

Second, the church has been stolen from the people of God, from faithful Christians. In numerous cases, faithful Christians, whose money built the church and supported the pastors, have seen a minister or a priest assigned to their church who denounced his faith, preached doubts concerning Christ, promoted social revolution, and drove out of the church the very people whose faith, work, and dollars built it. These Christians have been robbed: their church has been stolen from them. When they protest the theft, these faithful believers are actually denounced as troublemakers! Is it any wonder that shock and bewilderment are being expressed in many communities?

What can be done? To answer that question, it is necessary to look realistically at the situation. Two things are under attack: first, Christianity, and second, church property.

The church property has been largely captured, and the law courts on the whole support the legality of that takeover. This is very regretful, but not much can be done about it now. The more important questions are, have they captured us, and will they destroy Christianity?

They cannot capture us if we refuse to be a part of them, if we walk out of their anti-Christian churches and lay afresh the old foundations of true faith. And they cannot destroy Christianity, because it is not of man but of God, not a natural force but a supernatural force. On the contrary, God will in due time judge and destroy them, and we has better avoid these churches which are headed for judgement.

We are in battle, and we had better realize it and move in terms of it. "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand" (Eph. 6:13). and what kind of a stand can you make associating with thieves and supporting them?

The church must be rebuilt, not in terms of any man's wishes, but in terms of the Word of God. If it is to be Christ's church, it must be governed by God's Word and Christ's saving purpose. We are told today that the church must "serve men." This is not its purpose: it was called into existence by Jesus Christ to be the community of the redeemed, the light of the world, and the salt of the earth. And this it can be only by faithfulness to Jesus Christ." -R.J.Rushdoony

True Women

I'm reading a very interesting book right now, called Sarah Morgan: The Civil War Diary of a Southern Woman. This is a great book, but also very sad at times. Her diary shows very closely into her life, the sorrows of the war, the troubles she and her family faced, as well as the suffering around her. Reading Sarah Morgans diary is giving me a closer look into the life of a young woman who lived during The War of Northern Aggression, or The War Between The States. Everything they suffered is just terrible! But her diary also shows me how strong the Southern women were, that they bore it all in honor. They worked long and hard for their family members in uniform, as well as all the men. They may have lost all earthly possessions, but they didn't give up hope in their cause, of in the faithfulness of God. They held true, ever being strong and never giving up!

The women of today could learn a great lesson from the Southern women. We are created different from men, and we are not supposed to be equal in every standing. Men are the bread winners and providers, women are the homemakers who take care of their children and husband. The women are supposed to take care of the house and their family while the husband goes off the provide. The woman of today have it all mixed up and backwards. God didn't plan for woman to be the head of the home, or to go off and have a career while the husband stays at home and takes care of the kids. She is supposed to be feminine and lovely, a godly woman who follows God's commands, not what she wants. God give us women who will follow the calling He has given to us and may we ever be true to that calling!

Two Days till Due Date

Only two more days till Mom's due date! I am so excited! We had all hoped Liberty Joanne would be born by now, but apparently God is still holding off. It's all in God's hands but I'm still hoping and praying Mom will have the baby very soon.
When Mom was expecting Grace she had the same due date--only Grace came two weeks late. Hopefully that won't happen with Liberty--I don't think we could wait that long! That would still be 12 more days! But if it happened to be God's plan I think we could last that long. After all, we've come this far!
Being patient is so hard! I get so impatient some times, but maybe waiting on God's timing for the baby will help me learn a little bit.
Also, before Liberty comes I'm hoping we'll be over this cough that won't seem to go away. Right now Grace and I are the only ones who have it, but Kirstie seems like she might be coming down with it. We have no idea what it is. At first we thought all the coughing was from when Grace and I mow and we get all that dust all over us. That would be enough for anyone to start coughing! But with Kirstie coming down with it...who knows. All I'm hoping is that we're all better before the baby comes or we won't be able to go near her until we're all better. That wouldn't be very fun. Hopefully God will clear us up in time so the baby doesn't get sick!

Never be Ashamed

A few days ago my mom found a great article posted by the Harris boys on their website, The Rebelution, called 35 Reasons Not to Sin. It is a great must read for everybody and I encourage you to read it! Also check out anything else on the Harris boys' website...Everything is awesome! The Harris boys have taken a great stand, showing us other teens (as well as adults) that we need to take a stand for our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Praise God that we have some people who will take a stand for their beliefs, and will not back down! Let us all try to be like that, never being ashamed of the gospel, just as Paul said, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ..." (Romans 1:16) May we all be of the same mind!

You Were Created Beautiful!

Do you ever strive to be someone you're not? Have you ever wanted to be accepted, to fit in as one of the crowd? Have you ever felt like you weren't beautiful, liked and loved? Because of that, have you ever felt like you "needed" to lose "that amount" of weight? "Needed" a tan? "Needed" to look that way? "Needed" this and that to be popular, to fit in, to be beautiful? Have you ever tried to be someone you really are not?

All of these questions are pretty tough, and you know what? We all have struggled with something similar, if not exactly what I have listed, even myself. "I need to lose some weight, I need a tan, (even though I'm a redhead and I can't tan, so all my efforts have been in vain.) I need to look like that, like those girls, like those "models." Why is that? Let's go to the heart of the matter.
We all want to be noticed, to look beautiful, to catch attention, to shine out (not in the way we are supposed to though) to be someone glamorous, etc. (come on, be honest) All of these reasons (plus more) are all absolutely wrong, no question about it. The one listed, "to shine forth", is one we are supposed to do, just not in the way we want. We are supposed to shine forth Christ, not ourselves, not our looks, and especially not our "goodness". He alone is good, and worthy...we are not.

So, the issue is that we want to be noticed, to be accepted as beautiful. But want to know something? We are! We are accepted as beautiful, maybe not in the worlds eyes, but we are in God's eyes! God made each and every one of us different, but He also made us all in the way He wanted us to be! He loves us exactly the way we are, therefore we should rejoice, be glad, and live life to the fullest! We should say as the Psalmist, "I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Marvelous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth." (Psalms 139:14) God Himself created us down to the very last detail exactly the way He had planned from the beginning. So then, why should we keep trying to look like girls out of fashion magazines? After all, those girls are "made-up", "computer-generized", "touched-up", and made to look like they're perfect, when they really aren't. True, some (and maybe most) are very slim and skinny, but that is because they don't eat, and they work out constantly! They are starving themselves and hurting their bodies.

God made us all the way we are, so we shouldn't try to change that. We should accept that fact, and rejoice that we have life! After all, the King of kings created us, the LORD of lords thought of us to make us beautiful and unique. We are all special in some way, even though it may be different. But if we were all the same, what joy would there be in life? Everyone would look the same, act the same, and be the same, instead of the different varieties. OK, say this: What if every store only made and sold vanilla ice cream? Wouldn't that be kinda boring? Not everybody loves only plain vanilla ice cream, everybody has different tastes and likes. Isn't that the way it is with people too? (OK, not a very good example, I know) If there weren't a variety of people the world, it would be boring.

So let us make the most of who we are, live our life for Christ, and truly be happy and satisfied with who we are! Shine for Christ! Show the world that we can, and will, be different! "I will PRAISE Thee! For I am fearfully and WONDERFULLY made!"

Waiting on the new baby

We are so excited about getting a new sister! My mother is due in 8 days to be exact. For my mom the time seems to be going by slow, but to me it seemed like yesterday when she and Dad first told us. We were so surprised and excited when we were first told the news! I had always thought about getting a new sibling but it still came as a shock.(a good one though) We are all hoping the baby comes early, especially Mom. I can understand too! Carrying around a baby inside for 9 months seems to be a tough job! But I probably won't understand fully until I do it myself. We already know the baby is going to be a girl, which shouldn't have came as a surprise. With 6 girls already and only one boy we were, of course, hoping maybe God would bless us with another boy. But He had other plans! Apparently He wants only one boy in our family, unless the hospital was wrong and the baby turns out to be a boy! Now that would be something! But we're pretty sure it's a girl, and we are still very excited! No matter what God blesses us with, "we will rejoice and be glad in it!" The new baby's name will be Liberty Joanne, which is such a beautiful name I think! God has been so good to us over the years, even when we may not think so. We are blessed beyond measure!

I am now a blogger!

Today is my first day as a blogger. It is so exciting! My mother helped me with all the preparations and got me started. She did a wonderful job with all the designs! She made the header herself.(with suggestions from me) :) I am excited about starting something new and blogging ought to be quite a good experience for me. My parents both have been blogging for quite some time and they both love it. I am so blessed to have such wonderful parents who love me. God is so good!
